Please consider making a financial donation to Christian Neighbors, a local nonprofit that provides food, clothing and other basic needs to families with low-incomes living in northwest Allegan County. Nearly 2,800 residents (9% of our population) in the greater Saugatuck, Douglas, and Fennville area received food assistance from Christian Neighbors this year.
Christian Neighbors is a 501c3 status non-profit agency which receives no government funding. The group relies entirely upon an all volunteer staff, the generosity of community churches, organizations, businesses, schools, grants, trusts and caring individuals for support. Their agency space and utilities are generously provided by the Community Church of Douglas They are able to return 96% of their funding back into the community to assist the needy. The remaining 4% is for office supplies and phone/internet service.
